Pyo - December 2015Pyo is such a sweetheart when he's not being a teenage boy, though. He loves loves LOVES to cuddle on the couch and watch TV with us, he always snuggles real close. His favorite things to watch are musicals or cartoons! And if we watch the same stuff over and over, he gets bored and starts complaining hahha! He loves to be hugged and snuggled but being picked up he's not a fan of, since he's so heavy and he probably feels my arms shudder LOL. He'll still let himself be picked up and whatnot, he'll just make his grumpy noise in the back of his throat the whole time.
He takes to people being in the house VERY well, he just loves visitors and will be super friendly with them! He has never been even the slightest bit aggressive with guests, and only swipes half-heartedly at us when he's highly displeased about something (like not getting the cuddles he wants, or demanding snacks and getting only head pats instead). He knows he shouldn't swipe so even when he does do it, we can tell it was a reflex and he's instantly sorry: he'll come up to our feet and do his special little apology grunt, with his mouth open and his breath huffing on our toes until we pet him.And he's so smart, too! We're constantly surprised by his intelligence, and we're half-convinced he knows English now. We talk and sometimes he can tell what we're saying! He also sometimes makes really weird, almost musical grunts that sound like his attempts at speech: he's quite a vocal boy! He knows what it means when I say "please don't eat my shirt" or "don't snatch", or "don't go in there!" and has learned lots of rules. Even when we leave the bathroom door open, he just hangs out at the entrance because he knows he isn't allowed in there apart for bath time. Even when we leave things atop a sofa he's not allowed up on, he'll know not to snatch for it. Even when we leave the fridge door open with all the veggies just lying there within his grasp, he just looks at it longingly and never reaches! One time he even went so far as to rest his snout on the edge of the lowest level, right in front of a head of celery, and huffed a deep, wistful sigh. It was so hilarious we caved in and gave him a stalk. He's SUCH a good boy! And tricks! He knows so many! We started with the spin, |
then he learned to shake hoofs, to jump, to boop his nose in our hand, to sit, to push a little plush toy into a goal, to kiss, and recently he learned to lie down (that was hard for him to get LOL)! I'm planning on also teaching him to do a lap around my feet, talk on cue, shake his head no and nod it yes... I've no doubt he can learn anything we care to teach him. It only ever takes him 2-3 training sessions of 15 mins to understand a trick, it's so impressive! He's a joy to have around.
It's almost a full year that he's been in our lives and we couldn't be happier. He's just the best little piggy boy in the world and we can't thank you enough for bringing him in our lives. |
Demi and Dallas - December 2014Demi and Dallas are settling in great. They love attention from everybody and seem to really enjoy the kids. We put the other pen up for them and it seems to be working better. They are eating and drinking as well as using the litter box with no problems. Even my mom thinks they are cute. My daughter's fiance is also quite taken with them. Thanks again for delivering them.

Penny - October 2014So took her a day or so but she's finally settled! She was nervous for the first day and didn't want to be touched. But some Cheerio's helped her get used to us! As I'm writing this she is napping on my lap lol. Love her! Her new name is Penny! She also prefers to sleep in a bag she found rather than the comfy bed I got her haha. I've attached some photos.

Arrow - October 2014Thought you might like to see how Arrow is doing. He's been great and is growing into a very handsome boy :) he has gotten a lot more red in his hair. His new entertainment has been making a nest - he goes from room to room dragging our blankets, pillows, toys, clothes, and everything else he can find, to his "spot" of the day. He always makes me laugh
Hope all is good with you! |
Jersey - June 2014Jersey is doing great! She loves to be outside with us whether we are out on the deck or in the yard! Lol! She has pretty much trained herself not to use the littler box unless she has to but to go bathroom outside so that is awesome! She is shy when she first meets new people but loves to show her spunky side once she's comfortable! We absolutely love her to bits!

Akita - May 2014Akita is doing BRILLIANTLY. Using her litter box very reliably already. Playing with all her toys. Rummaging in her blankets. Loves her treat ball. Hours of entertainment with that one. She has introduced herself to her big barn board bed. She runs with the chickens outside through the picture window. She seems to be settling in very well.
I love her! |
